Annual Registration
Annual registration is the foundation of the Bostonet Catchball Association. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our league fees go directly toward supporting our players, buying equipment, and ensuring a safe, organized environment for our community to play and grow.
To keep our operations completely transparent, here is a breakdown of what your annual league registration covers, as well as how team-specific fees are handled.
What Your Annual Registration Fee Covers
Our baseline annual registration fee is collected league-wide and funds the essential administrative, operational, and safety requirements of running a non-profit sports league. This includes:
- Player Insurance: General liability insurance required by our municipal and private rental facilities to host weekly practices, pickup games, and tournaments.
- League Tournaments & Events: Funding for league-wide tournament days, referee fees, championship logistics, and community-wide gatherings.
- Equipment: Purchasing game balls, Jerseys, specialized carts, nets, whistles, and tournament gear.
- Non-Profit Operations & Compliance: Annual state and federal filing fees, legal compliance, accounting tools, and administrative software (like Quickbooks).
- Financial Aid & Community Support: Ensuring that any woman who wishes to play has the opportunity to join our community, regardless of financial barriers.
Understanding Team Court Fees
Because gym rental rates vary significantly depending on the city, school district, or private facility, court rental costs are handled separately by individual teams.
- How it works: In addition to the annual league registration, each individual team coordinates its own separate collection per semester (typically around $200, depending on the venue) to directly cover the cost of their specific weekly local court rentals.
- New Teams: This model allows us to seamlessly support our expanding footprint, including our newly launched teams like The Lionets in Needham and the Lexington team!
🗓️ 2026–2027 Registration Status
