📝 Annual League Registration
Bostonet Catchball Association is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers. Annual registration is the foundation of our league—it directly funds our community operations, equipment, safety, and events.
Annual League Fee: $75
What your annual registration covers:
- 🛡️ Player & Facility Insurance: Comprehensive liability coverage required by municipal, school district, and private facilities for all practices, tournaments, and pick-up games.
- 🏆 League Tournaments & Mixers: Facility rentals, referee fees, equipment, and logistics for our opening tournament, league rounds, and end-of-season finale.
- 🏐 Equipment & Gear: Official game balls, specialized carts, portable nets, training gear, and referee supplies.
- 🤝 Financial Aid & Inclusivity: Keeping Catchball accessible to every woman who wants to play, regardless of financial circumstances.
- 📋 Non-Profit Operations & Compliance: State/federal non-profit filings, legal compliance, accounting tools, and administrative platform costs.

💡 Understanding Team Court Fees
To keep registration transparent and fair across all locations, court rental costs are managed separately at the team level, since municipal and private gym rental rates vary by town.
- How it works: In addition to the annual $75 league fee, each team coordinates its own local court fee per semester (typically around $200, depending on venue rates) to directly cover weekly gym rental time.
- Growing Community: This flexible model allows us to support existing teams and seamlessly launch new teams across Greater Boston (including Needham, Lexington, Cambridge, and beyond)!
